This question is commonly asked, and understandably so.
Simply put, we opt out of direct billing because we prefer not to have insurance dictate the scope of care for our patients. Insurance-driven healthcare doesn't always align with evidence-based practices. Our focus is on providing health, wellness, and preventive services, firmly believing that prevention is far better than cure. Insurance providers typically do not prioritize preventive or wellness services within chiropractic settings. While your policy may cover some aspects of acute care, it's rare for insurance to support measures that help maintain overall health. Most insurance plans do not include coverage for chiropractic care for children, palliative care, or treatment outside the spine. We refuse to exclude any demographic that stands to benefit the most from visiting our office. An upside to bypassing direct insurance involvement is that it allows us to offer affordable chiropractic care for the entire family. Our rates are reasonable, and we can provide programs to patients that wouldn't be feasible within an insurance network. If you have chiropractic coverage, we're happy to provide you with the necessary documentation for self-filing reimbursement. Additionally, we accept HSA and FSA payments in-office and encourage open discussions about financial matters.
